This large project was an absolute pleasure to be involved with. The house was a stone cottage built in around 1880 and extended in the 1960’s as well as stone / glass conservatory. The clients wanted to remove the extension and to increase the number of bedrooms from 2 to 4 and the number of bathrooms from 1 to 2, while creating an open plan feeling downstairs and without encroaching too much onto the garden.
The end result actually resulted in 5 bedrooms and we managed to squeeze in a utility room too. Our involvement started right at the beginning, before planning permission was even granted. We helped with the design and materiel selection and then managed all contractors throughout the entire project. The number of trades involved was in excess of 20 from architects through to plasterers.
